leak help please

Post by Fassi » Sun Aug 16, 2015 1:18 pm

Me again.

So I've pulled in at a car park and I noticed dripping from underneath the bonnet onto the ground. It looks like it comes from two places. The pipe top left of photo which must be the front aircon drain. But also the flange looking thing where the two pipes, one thicker than the other join. What is this part and any idea what I should do? Thanks again.

Seems they are aircon pipes too. Leak might explain why the aircon was empty of refrigerant when I got it.

Hi
Do you mean the 2 pipes clamped together?
Cheers
Helen
In the beginning there was nothing , then God said "Let there be Light".....There was still nothing , but ,by crikey, you could see it better.

Yes those two. Just drove for an hour without the aircon on and there was no leaks.

Those pipes will get covered in condensation and possibly even some ice when the A/C is on so it is normal for them to be wet after use. Refrigerant generally has a bright green dye so should be easy to detect if that is leaking.

Great mate. Thanks very much. I'm just so paranoid at the moment about every little thing with the bongo.
