Key won't alway come out!

Post by silage » Sun Apr 05, 2015 3:09 pm

Ok, me again, Barri has taken a liking to holding on to the key at the end of a journey. I put brake on and put gearbox in to Park, it normally means another sort trip down the road to reset something before the key will come out!!!!!
It not all the time just when its going to be bloody annoying and cause friction between Mrs silage and me  :D
any ideas O wise one's :D

Sounds like the gear selector interlock is playing up, just try putting it in and out of park a few times to see if that helps.

Well the location is the front of the gear selector, take off the central console etc.

Tip...

Use the new one yourself for at least a while to wear it in a bit.

Graphite dust from a pencil is a good trick to lubricate a sticky key. Be careful about using switch cleaner as it will wash out the lubrication already in the lock.
