Piggy back fuses

Just bought some of these.



They seem to be a relatively new and very ingenious method for taking a feed from an existing fuse box. However, you could use them in reverse to feed power from the LB to run the blinds, radio etc. The unit replaces the original fuse and then it has room for two fuses (one for the original item and one for the new feed).

I got them from this seller for £10 (of which £2.27 was postage) which is fantastic value. For that you get 5 mini-blade adapters and 5 standard size, plus 5a fuses for each.

As a result of previous posts (Rita) iv'e used these as a method of adding switched power sources.(coolant alarm, temp monitor, additional 12v /usb Arduino supplies) they are the dogs.
I have used individual spades from maplin to divert power to a separate fusebox for blinds etc.
I like the concept of using them in a subtley different way.
Fitting next/close together is a problem.
They are extremley good at confusing mr RAC patrol man
as are split charge relays and solar charge controllers.
If you use such things or any mods to fuseboxes please add paper instructions some where for the next ?
to have half a chance even if it was you/ me and i've forgotten.

Wish I had had these in my toolbox, or even knew what they were called, when I did my first ever Bongo work (LB & LCA) just days into ownership!
