Reversing Light and Beeper not working

Post by wattg » Mon Nov 10, 2014 3:35 pm

Hi Guys

Just had my auto box replaced and have found that the reversing beeper and reversing lights no longer work. I would think that we should be looking at one the cables/sockets on the new gearbox for the switch but what one should we be looking at. Anyone with any photos of the switch cable or with details of where on the gearbox to find it??

Thanks

Graeme

Is it possible to disconnect the reversing beeper? I'm planning to install reversing warning sensors and I don't want a symphony of beeps every time I back up.

Yes but your reversing sensors will only beep once your close to something
You don't want to forget your in reverse
I like my beeps
Do a search on here for which wire to cut / plug to disconnect
Use and inbetween words
Gas safe heating engineer / plumber if you need any advice just shout.

Pretty sure the switch will be in/on the gearbox. It could be the switch is faulty, not connected or needs adjustment. Can't provide any further details I'm afraid.
