mystery black box

I have a black box under my steering wheel. It seems to have 8 switches and 4 knobs and an on/off. Any ideas what it is for and what the settings are?

I'm guessing it's a Turbo Timer, of which a search will reveal all.

Only my best guess though.

Using google translate and taking photos of my screen....

At the top above the knobs,

Number one has above it: Fine shock 1,
Then: Fine shock 2,
Then: High impact
Then: Current

Above the bank of 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 is written: Configuration switch

One the white panel, the words across the top are the same: Configuration switch

In black on the left: The word may be: Settings

No:1, translates to : (maybe) Fine shock alarm
No:2 translates to: High impact alarm
No:3: Thunder flow processor (maybe)
No:4 Repel alarm time
No:7 IG Exercise

Hopefully that is enough for someone to understand what this device is.
Unfortunately none of the A/B icons seem to translate

It's part of a car alarm, I'd assume - with shock settings...

Its a Prototype alarm system for Fort Knox.

I think Teenmal may be wrong...It is probably a Black Box, and is useful in the event of a disaster....pilot recording available, and sensors for mid-air collision, passenger disturbance, attack or engine falling off

Seriously, It's an alarm add-on for 2-stage shock sensing...programmable by the look of it!...

I have now asked a friend of a friend to translate it and it does seem that it might be some sort of electric shock alarm system! Holy Cow! Now my question is, what should I do about it?

Has anyone on here seen anything like this before? I have had the bongo for nearly a year now and I am pretty sure it has not shocked anyone or anything yet!

I think by shock they meen a movement alarm .. or if someone breaks a window ..

Some are quite sensative (and annoying) in that a passing vehicle can cause your motor to 'shake' and trigger the alarm .. they usualy need careful setting up ..

Unless in Japan you are allowed to hurt the little urchins? That would be much better! I'm in the security industry and constantly laugh at what you're not allowed to do to the intruder (e.g. damage his hearing with a loud alarm!)
