munkimagic - I can confirm what Ian says. I (luckily) joined before buying a Bongo. BF is probably as important to me as the b****y car. You cant get more value for £10-14.

Munki -If like me you dont fancy removing the speedo needle - I just cut through the speedo face from the mileometer to the trip meter and it flexed easily enough to remove the dial over the needle. Repeat with the new face and the jobs a good en -you cant see the cut when reinstalled

Speedo - chip or sticky cover?

Post by RMP » Sun Jan 14, 2007 2:26 pm

Along the same lines - my HOLD light flashes and the speedo stops working from time to time. I understand the fact that my speedo has been chipped may be why this fault is coming up. Would it be possible to unchip it and use the sticky(?) speedo scale to make it more reliable and avoid the flashing? :?:

Many threads on this subject - dont fit a sticky faceplate on the speedo -the lights wont shine through. Get a new faceplate -mine cost £6.00 and is excellent
