coolant alarm

I have been reading that its advisable to have a coolant alarm fitted. How do i tell if one is fitted and if no fitted how difficult is it to fit one

Post a picture of the coolant bottle thingy under the bonnet.
The good ones bleep for a couple of seconds during a self test when you start the engine.

If you have a coolant alarm fitted you will:-
1...have a red LED in one of the switch blanks with a low coolant sticker around it.
2...the LED will flash and you will hear a bleep when you turn the ignition key.
3... Look at the expansion tank under the bonnet, there will be a screw between the full/low marks with a wire running from it.


They are very easy to fit and ours come with everything you will need including instructions.
