Front heater fan not running

Post by mareng » Wed May 07, 2014 1:03 am

Hi
Just wondering if anyone can guide me in how to remove the front heater fan on a 1996 diesel Bongo. The fan spins by hand but will not switch on. ( brushes?).
The resistor appears to be ok.
Is it easier to remove from underneath?

Hi
As Wonkanoby says...if you are a member, there's a guide available...It's in the "Fact Sheets" under "Heater Fan Repair"....easy job...15 minutes or so to get the fan out
Cheers
Helen
In the beginning there was nothing , then God said "Let there be Light".....There was still nothing , but ,by crikey, you could see it better.

is it off at all speeds, or does it work on some.

if the fuse is ok then check the lecky plug, this gets a bit of weather abuse, its just in front of the heater fan unit just behind the rad. pull the plug apart and see if its a nice green colour.
