All,
I've done the diag trick as per http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... +abs+light to determine why my ABS light is staying on, my light flashes out the code 33 which, according to the link, is "Rear Wheel Sensor" , i've found someone who can supply me a pair of them for £55 , but my question is , how do i fit them, do they unscrew from the axle housing or are they just pushed in?
any hints and tips from anyone who has done this job before?
many thanks in advance
Steve

nightmare to get out. best to test in situ, then remove when proven faulty, the mounting bolt usually sheers off too. good luck.

Re: changing rear ABS sensors
If the bolt sheers off will the sensor just pull up over the bolt to take it off ?

Re: changing rear ABS sensors
ive only done front.
the fronts are nearly impossible to get out, even without the bolt in place, ive changed the entire swivel rather than just the sensor after wrecking several.
the rears look similarly mounted, but have never tried to remove one.

Yes mine is ns front. I've sheered the bolt head off but I still can't get it off. Shall I just change the hub ?
Re: changing rear ABS sensors
The guy i spoke to, george @ http://www.bongospares.co.uk/ said don't bother trying to remove the fronts, just replace the hub, he sells them as a complete hub.
hopefully my rears will come out okay!! i'll let my mechanic mate do it then he can remove the bolt if it shears.
