Festoon light

Post by lancyman » Fri Apr 19, 2013 9:37 am

Hi All,
My festoon light by the back door isn't working.
I removed it last night and it wasn't wired in,
Or the connection had broken. How do I wire it up?
I looked behind the light and couldn't see any wires
Hanging off.

Thanks.

Pretty sure its fitted on all versions/years so the wiring loom should be present, maybe someone got there before you ?
Its the 10W I3-01 fitting on the left below;

Had another look last night. The lights had been
Tinkered with. I have a second tube light above the door.
Looks like the wiring was used to power this. I played
About for a bit and tried to install the festoon again,
Plus add an led strip. Unfortunately in my rumblings I
Blew the interior lights, and central locking. Will this just
Be a replace the fuse job?

Check the top left fuse on the fusebox by the driver's knee.

All sorted now. It was the fuse. Phew!
