Battery terminals with take-offs
Hi
Does anyone have details of a positive battery terminal with additional terminal tags / bolts for accessories?
Cheers

In the beginning there was nothing , then God said "Let there be Light".....There was still nothing , but ,by crikey, you could see it better.

Re: Battery terminals with take-offs
hi
Turbodave...
Thanks, I've looked at Conrad before, and despite their claims, they only post to 2 or 3 EU countries....That's a pity, as they have some stuff I can use!
Teenmal...
Yes...best idea!...I have a fusebox all ready to fit...
...BUT...I have some high-amp stuff I'd like to connect direct...I'm sure I've seen a battery terminal with an array of several bolts on a bar, but can't remember where!
Cheers

If you put a longer bolt through the clamp and use an additional nut you will be able to connect the National Grid to it.

Re: Battery terminals with take-offs
You could also try here, the trusty old Halfords

Or ebay... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-Heavy-Duty- ... 27d0900645

Others are available, but this was the first I saw with worldwide shipping.

Re: Battery terminals with take-offs
Hi
Thanks
Maybe I'm being pernickety, but I already have 6 connections (fused) off the +ve.....
...I need spares...
...some are getting transferred to a fuse box, but others NEED a terminal....I've seen the two-nut jobbies, but I'll swear i've seen 4 somewhere????....
I wonder how many batteries I can cram in the back??????
Thanks

Halfords advertise a 4 way terminal but it only shows an normal T in the pic it might be the wrong pic,you could ask them.helen&tony wrote:Hi

With that many connections, perhaps you could look at adding a busbar instead.helen&tony wrote:Hi

Re: Battery terminals with take-offs
Hi
Looking at the links, it looks like they did use the wrong photos at Halfords ...maybe I'll look at the battery setup, and see if I can use that.
Cheers

Re: Battery terminals with take-offs
Could try Iveco. My Daily 2000 had a pressed steel clamp with multiple take-offs as standard

Re: Battery terminals with take-offs
Hi
I've just found what I want...Whoopee!!!...It's a distribution block with built-in cable outlets for heavy cable, jump-start outlet, and built in fuse box!!!!!
Just got to check if it's compatible with the Bongo fusible link
Cheers

Re: Battery terminals with take-offs
Bit confused here, why does it need to be compatible with the fusible link if you are running direct from the pos terminal.helen&tony wrote:Hi

Re: Battery terminals with take-offs
Hi
The item replaces the original battery terminal entirely, and the original Mazda battery terminal has the small fusebox bolted directly to it...I reckon I'd need to see the box in the flesh, first, as I can't quite see how to replace the Mazda original fused systems in the new unit
Cheers
