Seem to have developed a slight issue with the gear box if I set off steady all is well gears change as they should.
If I boot it the gears do not change up rev counter goes up to 3000 rpm and then it's like it hits a rev limiter.
 Transmission oil level is ok.
Any ideas what to check before I go out and start to pull things apart ?

Re: Gear change
I'm not techie, but is the throttle position sensor (TPS) a possible suspect? Maybe check out old threads on that one?

I had a touch of that recently and put it down to too much veg oil for this miserable climate.
Haven't noticed it since topping up a couple of times with diesel only.

Re: Gear change
try the great pretenders (mel) tip, he said some recent troubles along these lines and were down to a fuel tank pick up filter partly blocked, on his recommendation i tried it, and was quite surprised at the results.
i had no real issues, just the odd flat spot for a second when coming off the throttle and back on, thought it maybe turbo waste gate problem or tps etc.
sorted mine out just blowing back to the tank.
cheers mel.
