ABS Pump

Post by Signof4 » Sat Feb 02, 2013 12:41 pm

Hi All
I own a Bongo 2.5TD P registration.
The ABS light came on some weeks ago. The garage I took it to has checked the sensors and brake lights and they think its the ABS pump that's faulty. The mechanic said that its probably the electronics in the pump that's gone and he will try to source a second hand pump or get it reconditioned. He added that he found a diagnostic port under the dashboard but would probably have to take it to a Mazda centre to use it if any more investigation is needed.

I just wondered if any of you out there had any advice on this matter and also if you knew where I could source an ABS pump.

Many thanks
Steve

Thanks for your advice.
The prices seem reasonable.

Any idea of the seller's reliability?

Thanks
Steve

Hi
George was very communicative and helpful until he put his price up from £30 to £80!
I guess that's what you'd call capitalism in action.

One here for £40:

Alternatively, try Kevin at Southern Bongos who I've always found to be reasonably priced.
