Lo

Just wanted to know if you lubricate the raising parts of the roof ( guides, pnumatic parts etc! ) and if so what do you use?

Thanks

Use 3-in-1 bicycle chain lubricant.

Our Bongomeister is a wonderfully old fashioned sort of chap

Lots of other alternative's suggested on here if you have a search, though smell apart, 3 in 1 sounds sensible.

I use GT 85 and do the sliding door channels and the tailgate struts and hinges with it the same time. Seems to work. I guess with the hinges they should be greased occasionally too. If I used grease on the door cnnels it would turn into fur balls because of the dogs! Does a bit anyway.

White lithium grease, it's what the professionals use on all door hinges and locks etc. Clean all the old grease off with WD40 and then apply new.

Hi Gixermark ,most Struts do not need lubricated, you polish them with printer paper on similar until the paper is clear(no black marks on the paper).Try it and you will see what I mean.
Cheers.
