What should I do first

Post by al & chris » Tue Oct 09, 2012 3:25 pm

Rear arches rusting get them done or get a proper waxoil job done on van first. Should have had wax oiled years ago. Don't know what to do first?

I'd get the arches done first.
If you do the waxoyling there could be a fire risk when the welding is done on the arches and it will have to done again once the new ones are fitted.
I can give you the place we had ours done near Matlock if you want a recommendation not too far away.

How much did you pay for the whole job, Brian?

Couple of years ago now Ian but I think it was about £450 excluding the Transit panels which I got for £20 the pair from the place in Doncaster. One of them had a big dent in it which didn't matter as that part was chopped off anyway.
He made some new bits for the inner arches as well as fitting the outer ones.
