sounds like its been clumped
Re: door mirrors not working
Is there slight play (about an inch) in aforementioned mirror, when opened out??
Cheaper by comparison to a race horse...

Re: door mirrors not working
Thanks for replies, mirror has not been clumped operated normally previously. parked o/night mirrors retracted. About 1/2 inch play. sounded like cogs jumped at tooth or cogs partially stripped.
thanks again]

There is a plastic spline on the (last?) cog in the gear mechanism to the drive from the motor. All the rest are metal but this one is plastic & part of the plastic moulding that houses the gears... Circled in red.. Its the weakest point.brianwfl wrote:Thanks for replies, mirror has not been clumped operated normally previously. parked o/night mirrors retracted. This is the top part to the motor housing??

I fear it may have sheared loose...? I could be wrong..??!! But, if the mirror don't move & all you get is a whirring click click click..?
