Electric nearside mirror

Post by JonWM » Mon Feb 20, 2012 11:27 pm

My offside mirror can be adjusted and power folded from the switch in the car but the nearside one can't - nothing can be adjusted at all.
Where's a good place to start to look for the fault, please?

Look for broken wires where the loom passes from the A pillar to the door, assuming you've moved the little slider switch that controls which mirror you're adjusting.

Good luck. :)
Take a torch, toilet roll, and tea bags.

Thanks Bob.
Slider switch? :D yep tried that thank you 8)
It looks like the mirror may have had a knock cos its a bit wobbly where it is attached to the car. Will look at the loom tomorrow.

grab the whole head and push fully forward and fully back it may relocate into the mechanism then and be ok.
it will make a few unnerving noises but it should be ok. #-o [-o< [-o<
