curtain jammed in sliding door

Post by jamieward » Thu Jan 26, 2012 10:51 pm

When we shut the sliding door a corner of curtain got stuck in the mechanism and now the door won't open - either from the inside or the outside.

Any suggestions?

Cheers

Is the it the curtain from the front door stuck in the top of the sliding jobby?

If so I recon it is just muscle, get someone inside and someone outside and give a co-ordinated pull.

If the curtain is stuck in the front of the door, near the handle, a search will reveal the knack of slapping the inside of the door panel to free it.

Edit: And welcome aboard Jamie. :)

Has the curtain caught in the vicinity of the sliding door catch....

It may have switched the child lock, but that don't explain why the out side handle don't work..?

Disconnect the battery for a while...? Can't do any harm....
