Roof Problems

Post by maxi_77 » Thu Nov 24, 2011 7:05 pm

Two problems,
one - several screws at the rear of the roof have pulled out of the plastic moulding. Should I fill with epoxy drill and rescrew, or try the next size up.

two - the fly screen material has torn and seems to be past it's best. I presume the only answer is to remove the thent and get new mozzy material fitted.

Heres a link with lots of advice on HOW TO GLUE THE SCREWS FOR THE ROOF TENT.

If the net is beyond repair, you can either remove it permanently or replace it, HERE'S A LINK THAT SHOULD HELP.

I found I needed to lift the threaded portion, whilst holding the outer part down otherwise the whole scrivet turns and you get no where, Can't remember exactly but I think I just used a small screwdriver inserted under the lip to lift the central screw/rivet and hold the outer in a fixed position.
