Suddenly both electric windows have stopped working......fuse 14 (30amp) is o.k. and all wireing seems o.k....before I start pulling switches out/apart....is there anything else I should check ??
Thanks

Re: Electric Windows
If you pop the switch out of the driver's door, disconnect the plug and check for 12v between the 2 feed cores in the plug - they are the bigger wires in there.
IIRC, the +12v is the black core with the red line on it. You should have 12v on this with the ignition on.
If you have 12v there, you might have an issue with the switch.

Re: Electric Windows
When that happened to me, it was the thick black wire in the loom between the driver's door and frame. I had to remove the black plastic sleeve from the loom to actually discover it.

With Johns idea, but if not apparent....francophile1947 wrote:When that happened to me, it was the thick black wire in the loom between the driver's door and frame. I had to remove the black plastic sleeve from the loom to actually discover it.
The black earth wire as it goes under the cowl/sheathing in the wing from the door up from the V to the door hinge..? (I've seen it on a few, including mine!)

Cheaper by comparison to a race horse...
