Hi all
The previous owner had all the beeping noises turned off as he didnt like the reversing safety. however, now I keep leaving my lights on so Im thinking of getting the mechanic to rewire them in. Is this easy to do, is there a fact sheet?
Also, SHOULD I do this or is there loads of annoying ones and it is better without them??
What safety alarm beeping noises are there if I turn them back on? Have any of you done this?

If all the Beeps are gone then most likely the previous owner has just disconnected the entire module, in which case plug it back in! Its located down in the drivers offside footwell behind the plastic trim by the door. Its also possible that they just put a pair of cutters thru some of the wires, in which case you will need to rejoin colour for colour.
Once you have restored the beeps then a lot of the most annoying Beeps can be removed by disconnecting the "Key In" switch at a connector under the steering coloumn here;

It is the ignition key in with door open one that is the biggest PITA for me, mainly when camping.

Shout next time your coming over Joy, its normally a 5 minute job, unless that cable has been pushed right to the back of the cable form!

Re: Safety beeping alarm noises
I found that the best solution was to quieten it rather than disconnect it.
A piece of broken matchstick poked into the sounder's orifice did the trick.
Reduced it by quite a few dBs but still get the warnings.
