Diesel 4x4 auto air-con tensioner question
Just completed a round trip of Scandinavia, 4280 miles in 3 weeks. Nothing went wrong. Used 200ml of oil. Averaged 28mpg.
However the alternator belts needed adjustment and the aircon belt is chirping under load. Should I replace the tensioner wheel when I replace the aircon belt, or does it just need a bit of oil?http

Probably just needs the pulleys deglazing & new belts, as long as all the pulley bearings are ok.
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

Hi - to test the bearings do you need to remove the belts - or just drop the tension on them?missfixit70 wrote:Probably just needs the pulleys deglazing & new belts, as long as all the pulley bearings are ok.
