Doing this off my phone..dext924 wrote:Can anyone tell me where to find the schematics for removing the passenger door card please? I have had a look through, but cant seem to find it. My window wont go down with either switch now, been playing up for a while now, and I think the motor has either seized or packed in. I need to get in there to find out, but would prefer to do it without breaking anything![]()

Have you checked the drivers door loom? Could be the "down" wire for the passenger side leading from the drivers control??dext924 wrote:

Ditto (I had mine off several times) BUT you don't need to cut the plastic sheet. Have a sharp kitchen knife handy and, as you peel the plastic away, use it to slice through the black goo as it is stretching, so the plastic sheet can be released. When finished, just put the plastic back in place and the goo will re-seal. that way you don't compromise the (plastic sheet) vapour barrier.Jaws wrote:To remove door card: remove five screws including one at the bottom of the door pull recess. Gently pry away the lower edge to release spring clips and lift upwards. Push door release handle through card. Unplug electrical connection to window switch. Job done.
Takes about 3min with practice![]()
Don't touch the mastic! It is seriously sticky and very black. If you need access inside the door cut the plastic vapour barrier with a sharp blade and tape it up when done.
Hope you find the solution but it sounds like a broken lead in the wiring loom between door and body (again).
Just don't let her in doors see you using it for thatmikeonb4c wrote: Have a sharp kitchen knife handy
But easily repaired Baz...!bongobaz wrote:Beware the window switches are brittle and expensive.

Yep! Look at that first... g8dhe (Geoff)'ll (Hopefully) Agree with this, & from my own experience the passenger side goes through the driver loom.. The drivers loom seems to get more wear n tear due to the most use!? I'd stick my neck out & say at least the passenger window down wire has severed on the drivers loom...??dext924 wrote: Will have a look at the wiring, do I need to check from the drivers door??

Your the expert on the mechanicals of the wiring loom, so yes I'll agreejaylee wrote:Yep! Look at that first... g8dhe (Geoff)'ll (Hopefully) Agree with this,
