Seat runner removal

I have searched through the various topics here but cannot find the answer I need. The answers I got got tell me what to do, but not precisely how.

I want to remove my middle seats completely. I have undone and removed the four bolts and taken the seat unit out no problem. So far, so good.

That leaves two black runners. I need to remove these. I have removed the grey end bits held in with two screws and slid back the runner covers to gain access. I can see the stop bolts each side running crossways to the runner. Herein lies my problem. I know they need to come out - just cant fathom out how. Do they just hammer out?

lever the circlip/washer off the end & knock the bar out, simple

Do bear in mind that I have no mechanical knowledge whatsoever but I do know what a circlip/washer is - so that's probably a good start.

What can I see/work out. The thing I'm calling the runner stop is round and projects either side of the runner rails and stops the black runner mechanism from being released from the end of the rails. On the outer side it is like a flat head screw without the slot. On the inner side there is what looks like a washer joined to a nut - I presume this is what needs to be removed. Am I ok so far? I tried turning this 'nut' it moved but it rotated the whole stop bar and hence I failed to find a way to remove it.

Am I turning the right thing, is there a special tool/technique? Note - this vehicle is a newer model and in excellent condition, so there is no evidence of rust or damage to this area that might be hampering my efforts.

I'm not ready to admit defeat... quite yet.

Just lever it off...it's a sort of spring clip....you will probably destroy it..

Or just hit that end with a hammer, should force the headed pin through.

Aaaahh - destroy - now there's something I'm reputedly good at! Sadly the sun has even hidden its face now so I shall attack the problem again after work 2moz.

I'm determined to get my side kitchen unit fitted in, with minimal assistance, no matter what! A fellow Bongo Fury member has kindly offered to wire in the electrics properly for me so I don't have to worry about that bit - but I can't expect them to do this supposedly simple prep as well...

Learning curve? - it's the ascent of a Harrier jump-jet!

Yep, that wonderful multi-purpose tool. I find it brilliant as a decompressor as well - I get steamed up, I thump something and the pressure abates....

Amazing piece of technology.

Good news is that I not only got that wretched pin out in the end, but my kitchen is now fully in situ, yay! I even relocated my spare table the other side of the van.
All in all, I'm feeling pretty chuffed with the change!
