Unladen weight?

Post by dollyanna » Mon Mar 22, 2010 9:54 pm

Took the Freda in for its MOT today, came back and hour later to be told they couldn't do it cos they didn't know its unladen weight. Not quite sure how all its previous MOTs have been done, but does anyone know the unladen weight of a bongo/freda, or where I can find that info? No idea where the nearest weighbridge is so i thought I would ask on here first!

Test rebooked for Wednesday [-o<

Hi,
I think the weight should be on the V5C Registration Certificate.(Vehicle Details)

If your vehicle has not been converted this should show as Mass in service.

Hope this helps.

For the record Dollyanna my V5C certificate which gives my Bongo as a campervan with a conversion similar to yours records its weight as 2340 KG Gross.

Good luck for tomorrow.

Oh, hang, on just googled what it is, am I right in thinking that is the registration certificate I got when I bought it? Its just not with the other paperwork yet, I'll have to go and have a dig around.

Hi,if you are the registered owner of the vehicle you should have a V5C Registration Document.

Previously known as a Log Book.

It's ok, I do have one somewhere that I can't quite place immediately, but I have just found the slip you get when you are waiting for the proper thing to come through and that has the weight on it. I'll take that along :)
