can anyone tell me where the hose from the engine goes to as mine has pin hole in it and am trying to find where it goes so can order a new one ?
its the one on drivers side which always goes

Forward to the big pipe that then goes to the top of the rad on drivers side via another big hose.

Apparantly so, along with the bleed hose chafing on the alternator, but I work on the theory that if ones gone, the rest are the same age & probably aren't that far behind, I'd make sure you get a low coolant alarm asap if you're not planning on doing them all.

ordered hose from ebay came next day
phoned ian taylor @ japcarimports he arranged collection of bongo as didn't want the engine starting as monday took 2.5 litres of water
ian sent his man out with a flatbed truck they winched it on the back then bongo went to ian taylor
have asked him to change the thermastat and check and if neccecery replace the other pipes
should get it back sat at latest

Thats impressive - and good to know for anyone else needing to get a broken Bongo to Ian. I wonder what radius he offers for that service. I'm guessing his charges are pretty good compared to dedicated retrieval services?

his mechanic just said he will arrange collection for me gave me a time and was on time
i said do i pay the driver but he said no he will sort it out and pay him when job done

Thanks Carl. It'd be interesting to hear what the charges were like if it isn't being too nosey to ask. Might be useful / encouraging for others in trouble?

graham (dobby) i have also parked my V6 next to your bongo to keep it company
sods law though
i have 2 bongo's and both off the road
