waterpump leak solution?

hi guys, freda has developed a slight leak from the water pump.(a few drips every night).
ive just been searching for a replacement when i came accross this product.
has anyone used anything simular, or can advise or vouch for it????

Personally, I think I'd go for a replacement waterpump, rather than risk clogging up the cooling arteries of the Bongo - unless you really do need a quick fix.

Got to agree, it's not a hugely difficult or expensive job, if it's leaking, then it's possibly getting a bit old & worn anyway, if that stops, you got no circulation & bang, there goes £1200 on a new head (worst case scenario)

never known one of these quick fixes to work permanently, and usually messes up something else .

nothing like the full and proper fix , also saves on the worry of will it, wo,nt it fix it.!!!!!

hi guys, freda has developed a slight leak from the water pump.(a few drips every night).

Take care.. My MG RV8 didn't appear to have a leak at all..no telltale drips, nothing...but it was overheating if stuck in traffic.

Turned out that the water pump was leaking but only when running and was throwing the water out. Finally diagnosed when the bearings started to make a sound and the mechanic and I worked out by the frequency of the noise what it must be. Only after partial strip down could the evidence of the water be seen as it was flashing off on the hot parts as soon as it escaped.

So, the few drips might actually be a lot more when running,

I expect you're already doing this, but check the coolant level and keep it topped up while you're waiting to fix the leaking water pump.
