In fact the last Bastille of ergonomic practicality would be to put the sunroof switch where i don't have to grope the ruddy ceiling looking for the switch!

I would imagine it would be. 8) Got AFT with unopening :( sunroof, so feel I am unable to comment further.

If it is the motor that is playing up and not the switches then you should find it here.

I wonder if the handbrake switch has been replaced with a dashboard button, maybe the switch packed up and somebody fitted this instead?

Thanks to all.

It looks like the dash fitment was there and then removed as the holes are still there. I checked the handbrake switch as the cyl head had been replaced and doing that work might have knocked a wire off or something. I made sure it was working and also changed the fuse.

It worked, :D a bit hesitant at first, but went up and down without any hassle once it was on the move. The runners and hinges seemed a bit dry so will attend to that. Thanks again. =D>
