Dear Someone Techie
Our bongo of a few months old (to us - is is S reg) suffered significant overheating on Friday. It needs capable attention, and probably quite a lot of a. Does anyone know of a good local specialist. We are in N Oxford area.

Welcome to the madhouse :D :D
There's a database of approved/recommended garages in the Member's Area 8)
How bad was the overheat? Did you have a low-coolant alarm fitted?

Hi Canndp

Welcome but sad to have a first post from such a situation. :(

If you have recovery, Discount Trucks between Newbury and Andover is the South's expert on all Bongo problems. If Fred and Gerry cannot fix it no one can =D> They are thoroughly nice guys and total pros with overheating Bongos.

The important thing is not to drive it until the problem is sorted out. Assuming its a diesel, the engine is very vulnerable to a cracked head and needs the problem sorting ASAP.

get some kind of low coolant alarm fitted pronto. Haydn Callow sells one for about £80.

We've just had our second cylinder head replacement. That cost about £2400. (for both)...
