Post by Geggsie » Mon Sep 28, 2009 7:05 pm

I've seen a second hand one advertised on Ebay and was wondering how straightforward it is to programme it to use on my Bongo

Hi,

Not sure but I imagine it's not that simple. Be interested in finding out though.

I've considered an alarm with remote, such as a hawk instead, you get an alarm (ok maybe not the best in the world but it's something) and remote central locking.

It already has remote locking and the fob being sold is the identical make but obviously will need programming. Do Mazda do this?

I have a Hawk alarm, immobiliser, remote cental locking etc. It is a great addition and has many more features than other car alarms. Mine has remote starting, autolocking, proximity locking / unlocking, anti-hijacking locking, hazard light turn on when front doors opened, status check etc. etc.

I think a few people have bought these on thr forum, but not aware of anyone that's managed to get them working as yet.
