Re: Hold Light flashing and Speedo not working
Have a search on here but I recall it being explained that the autobox takes a signal from the speedo. If the speedo has been 'chipped' to get KPH into MPH and if a connection goes dodgy (or summat like that) then the autobox gets a dodgy signal and the HOLD light registers a fault. Should not be a serious thing to get fixed but have a search for best advisce on what to do.mike2564 wrote:Any ideas, got up this morning, Bongo started fine, and was performing ok, the hold light began to flash and the speedo stopped working. This happened to me - dodgy speedo connection. Hard thump on the dash top above the speedo fixed it - for a while - until I got around to (carefully) tightening the connections
Origo bio stove - no Bongo!

I had this same problem too, and my speedo was fitted with a chip. It only occurred once in a while, and when it did I just switched the ignition off and re-started the engine. Cured it every time. Eventually I fitted a speedo from a Mazda 626 and it never happened again.
Re: Hold Light flashing and Speedo not working
same thing happens here from time to time but as said just restart and all is ok so we dont worry about it
