Can you get to the top of the sender? This thread'll point you in the right direction http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... =3&t=33920 At least then you'll be able to see what you've got in the tank & access the other end of the breather.

Re: refuel !!!!!
try putting an endoscope do the filler tube then you can see into the tank then you know if its full of fuel or if there is a blockage you find with the hose pipe.
Bongo now work later !!!

Re: refuel !!!!!
Is there an anti-gravity force field at your filling station?
I must admit, after many years of browsing the forum, i've never heard of this particular problem arising before with a bongo... This is a long shot... Have you tried just "dribbling" the fuel in? I know it'll be slow, but it's gotta be quicker than pushing a two ton bongo home! Occasionally, (with my car) if i try to fill up in a hurry, the "full tank" trigger click on the diesel pump will kick in repeatedly if i do a "full trigger!" pump... I then frustratingly "tickle" the trigger till i get a couple of quid in, then slowly increase hand pressure till i get a full flow.... I know, the words "straws" and "clutching" springs to mind

Nearly as bad as the time I ended up taking off the fuel pump on my cavalier as it didn't seem to be getting fuel through, only to realise the tank was empty

No harm done Daz! I usually find that my tank is LOWER than expected, so that's a bonus i guess!daznotts62 wrote:oh dear do i feel silly..........it was afull tank of fuel with a dodgy gauge...........not had it long and not put much fuel in,must have been half full all along............thanks everyone for your help........getting fuel gauge sorted today (went to whitby on an empty tank !!!!!!!!)
