Rear Power socket failure

Post by mayso1 » Mon Aug 17, 2009 5:41 pm

Help, I have lost power to my rear power socket/ciggy lighter, this runs off my leisure battery apparently, need it working by the weekend as there are no electric hook-ups at Beautiful Days.

I had the same go on mine when I accidentally overloaded it pumping up my tyres with a compressor. Its a bit hard to explain but take it out (push from the rear) and there is a little fuse wire that is soldered across two contacts on the bottom, its probably blown. Easy to do, just solder a new bit in, 5 min job. I cant remember what rating wire it is but just compare the thickness to a new bit.

Hope this helps and makes some sense!........ :)
