Re: Glowplug Light and Fuses
The answer is both probably make the glow plug light flash if there is a problem
the warning system on bongos are very strange so if the light flashes it could be either sensor or connector scavenger (next to handbrake) or rad fan ( block )
they are also probably linked in some way

Hey don't forget the connector just behind the bottom edge of the steering cowl Rob!
Yes, there are two paths you can go by
But in the long run
There's still time to change the road youre on.
OOOOH... It makes me wonder....

This may be of interest - http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... an+testing, Dandy & G8DHE's input about halfway down the 3rd page in particular - highlighting the complexity of the fan trigger system.
If sensors & connections have been checked/replaced & any other suggested causes checked, then the next logical step is to use the Diagnostics factsheet or take it to a garage that can plug in a OBD II Diagnostic jobby IMO.

You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

Yes, probably not worth messing about shorting out sensors to check the operation of the scavenger fan thenmissfixit70 wrote:This may be of interest - http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... an+testing, Dandy & G8DHE's input about halfway down the 3rd page in particular - highlighting the complexity of the fan trigger system.

To test mine, I got the engine hot, then unplugged the sensor.
The glowplug light flashed a bit, then the rad fan cut in, followed by the scavenger fan, which could be seen but not heard.
I guess that it is working as it should be, and you would probably never know with the seats down.
A flashing glowplug light does in some way seem to be linked to the fan sensor.
Mine stopped flashing again when the sensor was plugged back in.
Re: Glowplug Light and Fuses
In case anyone is looking for this info in future, I understand that the photo in THIS LINK (from 'stilldesperate') is the scavenger fan sensor. The one in THIS LINK is the engine cooling (radiator) fan sensor.
Allans Garage retired. Try PGS (Plymouth Garage Services) or Mayflower Auto Services Plymouth

Depends what the pictures are of
Thats why I stopped getting the Sun it didnt help my reading at all.
I do think that little comments in other wise reasonable questions and answers are unnecessary and are getting noticed.
