My Bongo is a witch when cold.

First thing in the morning or when cold my Bongo remains in first gear until she warms up. Also stalls if I have the audacity to try to slow her down by pressing the brakes.
Once warm she is wonderful. 4x4 Diesel 2.5 TD. 1999 reg.
New Forest area.

are you sure she's stAying in first gear as they all need to warm up before changing all the way up through the box a few miles at least then into top gear once warmed up??? more info needed I think before we can tell for sure??
Be nice to everyone they might be nice back.

Until the thermostat gets up into the warm area she doesn't change gear. She also seems to race away and if I use the brakes to control her sh tends to stall.
