I am interested in fitting some , is there a U K supplier as a google search does not come up with anything and what model type is required as the Australian site does not list the Bongo. Mike
There is a UK supplier Marcel Leisure

Hi there,
There are 2 main types available in the UK, both american. One of them are coilrite by firestone (coloured blue) available as above.
The other type is from Airlift. They are exactly the same principle/system and I found them alot cheaper. Also the supplier is very very helpful and has indeed just helped me with a small question.

Matt is a very helpful guy and I can recommend him. I have no other link to them other than being a customer.
One thing to note, check first if your bongo has been lowered as this changes the bag/spacers you may need.

Thanks for the information ,I have just ordered a set from Matt savage ,They seem very reasonable at £80 including delivery .Hopefully they will be here by the weekend so I can fit them and that it improves the handling and quality of ride . Mike

Just picked up on this thread from sunny France - £80 is an excellent price - 80777 is the kit I fitted but also fitted an additional pair of spacers number -09112 and silicon glued them to the top spring turret. I set my unconverted Bongo at 16 psi unladen .and 18 with a load or towing

The airlift type seem to be the same as the Australian Polyair, even the installation care instructions are similar. such as minimum 5psi. The Aussie one comes with coil springs that go over the air tube as they exit the bladder, this supports the tube at a sharp bend and prevents kinking, if you don't get them in your kit I would recommend getting a pair as kinking can be a real pain.
I'm surprised that Dandy is running an unladen bongo at 16 psi, I would expect the normal springs and shocks to work as intended when unladen, no doubt you will find your perfect pressure by trial and error.

The 80777 bags are a loose fit in the springs lev - they require a little bit of pressure to get them out to meet the coils - that could be why they run at 15/16. They do the job really well - less rock and yaw and no bottoming on the bumpstops on undulations (and the French D roads have plenty of them!)

Hi,
They 80777 kit is a loose fit, but good with spacers. Lengthways on mine when the suspension has no weight on it (as per photo's above) there is about a 4 inch gap above, however when on the ground it's less than one inch. I'm getting some spacers sent over to correct this but even with that small gap I can feel a big improvement. You need sufficient spacer to allow for the suspension uncompressing when going over undulations etc. The suggestion to glue them in using silkaflex is a brilliant one, as is protecting any pipework etc from abrasion over time.
For the money I think this is a great solution, wish I'd done it ages ago.
