Where to get a fuse?

Post by BONGODADDY » Fri May 29, 2009 4:56 pm

Hi,
Probably a really obvious question? :?:
I have managed to find out that my stereo and wing mirrors wouldn't operate due to a blown 15amp fuse by taking one out for something else and using that one in the slot, just wanted to know where i get a new one from, are they mazda items , i have seen them in other cheapy shops but they look a bit different to the one i have taken out so not sure if they will fit?
Any help greatfully appreciated,
PS Can i purchase a set of fuses for future problems from anywhere?

The mini fuses are pretty much standard in many cars these days and you can pick them up at any car accessory shop, motor factors etc. The colours are occasionally slightly different but they will always have the rating written on them too.

Only thing to watch for is that a couple of manufacturers have started using a "low profile" version of the mini fuse which is different in that the blades of the fuse are recessed into the plastic but these are few and far between so it is unlikely you will even be able to get these ones yet.

The Bongo Shop above at the top right does a kit of all the Mini-Fuses you need.

Another good supply is to go to the local scrapyard with empty pockets & look under the dashboard of any Japanese car :)
