Re: correct speakers
Hi,
I took the speaker and the mounting pod out together, think you are right they are glued, i had to use a mallet on the magnet of the original speakers to free them from the mounting pod, which was no probs for me because i was replacing them anyways. I put some 16cm alpines in there, used that self adhesive draught excluder around the edge of the mounting pod before screwing the new speakers in to ensure a tight fit.
hope that helps, good luck

Re: correct speakers
From memory and it was two weeks ago!
i think the rears just unscrew, and the mounting case stays in situ and you just un-plug and lift out the speakers.

Re: correct speakers
Getting at the rear ones is the problem, I have tried but cannot seem to remove the panel, there is no clearance with the seats, managed to get all but one screw out by reaching in with one hand and holding the panel back with the other but had to give up the damn screw would not budge. I am gonna try the front ones soon as the cannot cope with my dvd player.

Re: correct speakers
Hi i have split rear seats and took them out before i removed the whole panel, easy to do just a couple of bolts on each seat and the bottom seat belt bolt then lift out whole seat. you can then get to all the screws and prize off the rear panel, be careful not to break the clips.
