Bongo wiring diagram is available from the club shop on a CD rom. Problem with it is while a good lecky should be able to understand the symbols the anotations are in Japanese I believe.

In the mean time, you should be able to shut the door fully without the soft close, if you can't, I'd say the problem is more of a mechanical one. Check the runners & catches are all clear.

Door should still close tight without motor pulling it in, prefer mine not to close electrically so remove fuse, closes fully no problem.

Re: soft closure help req'd
I'm not surprised to read this. One Bongo I looked at when hunting for one had a soft close that didn't work. I recall thinking it made virtually no difference (except possibly on a campsite late at night when you don't want to disturb peeps by slamming doors)splitpin wrote:Door should still close tight without motor pulling it in, prefer mine not to close electrically so remove fuse, closes fully no problem.
Re: soft closure help req'd
When I first got my bongo the soft close had been dissconnected and I didnt know it had it until I saw another bongo's door lock itself. mine would close tight without the softclose so if yours doesnt it must be one of the latches or if the cables to the latches in the door have become dissconnected or broken it might be stopping one of them locking correctly. after seeing the other bongo door close itself I stripped the panel off mine to see if it had the bits and it had, but the electrical connectors had been dissconnected and so had the cables which were a bitch to set up.

True, we peeped a new shape at wheelquick that didn't have the soft close option.daveblueozzie wrote:Not all bongos have soft close.

When ours 'packed up' I found it to be corrosion on the door/pillar contacts.
A quick rub with wire wool, a wipe of WD40 and Bingo (or should I say Bongo), soft door close again.
