Standard exhaust sealant, along with the gasket of course!

Just used a new gasket - no problems with any leaks.

If I had all the money I ever spent on my Freda ............ I`d spend it on my Freda.

Re: Changing back box
Interesting 'cos I unbolted my old one and bolted on the one Mister Munkey had kindly donated to me, without a thought or a care for a gasket and it seems to be fine. Irishmans luck I guess.

Re: Changing back box
when i did mine i "anneald "the old gasket by heating till cherry red then plunging into cold water......job done with no leaks and you get to play at being a blacksmith.....

Thanks for the info. I ordered a new gasket with the back box. Price for both delivered to my house was £91. KwikFit qouted £210 just for the box.
Will have a go at fitting at the weekend

Don't go there BDC. I don't think you can get Solvol Autosol for polishing goldbigdaddycain wrote:Crazy Legs Crane wrote: KwikFit qouted £210 just for the box.
