Is it a necessary to add epoxy to the joint when fitting a new back box? If so which type?

Interesting 'cos I unbolted my old one and bolted on the one Mister Munkey had kindly donated to me, without a thought or a care for a gasket and it seems to be fine. Irishmans luck I guess. 8)

Thanks for the info. I ordered a new gasket with the back box. Price for both delivered to my house was £91. KwikFit qouted £210 just for the box.

Will have a go at fitting at the weekend
