The remote control device (or car alarm if you use an alarm to do this) reverses the polarity. When you buy these devices you should get instructions showing the different ways to wire for different central locking systems. For the Bongo you need to use the instructions for vehicles which do not have a motor in the driver's door. The remote device simply actuates the two wire motor (or actuator which you must fit). This then manually locks and unlocks the drivers door when connected to the rod which goes to the button on the driver's door. In doing this the rest of the central locking system will be actuated in the same way as if you had locked the door with the key or by pushing the button on the driver's door down.
Additional relays should not be required to do this.

If anyone needs help with this drop me a pm and I'll give you my phone number. I fit car phones for a living but do have experience in installing other accessories like alarms and central locking and am happy to help where I can

Thanks for that - still seems to draw a helluva current though

It is quite a powerful motor but only draws current for a few seconds so it wouldn't surprise me drawing that sort of amount
