Any thoughts/ comments?!
Or, better still, has anyone tried this?

Re: Any thoughts/ comments?!
it's A ball bearing thats used to blank off the egr i think.
The claims are a bit extreme I think
I would suggest better to get the blanker from allans who advertise on here and has many happy customers (I am meaning to order one myself and you have reminded me to do so.)
May be a bit more but proven.

Re: Any thoughts/ comments?!
all it does is block the signal pipe to the egr control unit I think, not a lot of good if the EGR itself is crudded up & can't close. I did mine with a small bolt & blanked the egr & removed it, loads on the forum if you do a search

You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

Thanks folks.
That was my suspicion, but the ad says "NO FITTING A BLANKING PLATE BETWEEN THE EGR VALVE AND MANIFOLD.", which probably means it's a BB instead as you say!
Thanks.

I've just this week fitted blanking plates(Allans) cost £6 each 2 required.
Plus a bottle of diesel injector cleaner and even her indoors has noticed the slight increase in power/consumtion and the cleaner exhaust..

Thanks for the comments.
Are peeps recommending fitting these EGR blanking plates as standard, even if you don't have a 'smoke' problem?
Cheers.

I don't see why not, i blanked my EGR system with it working ok... Saves the hassle of having a smoking bongo at some time in the future whilst waiting for the kit to arrive...Trouble at t'Mill wrote:Thanks for the comments.
