The factory manual CL part is fine..
I checked all the connections to the system & found nothing wrong apart from about 10 volts consistently sent along the aux wire to the remote CL unit from the alarm head & a similar voltage to the two wires going to the actuator..?
The immobilizer bit is NOT connected...
Then the head unit stopped working, i could only plip it if i had the fob right next to the box..
Fob battery was fine i tried my second fob no joy.!
I disconnected the alarm & made an earth strap in an attempt to reset the alarm thinking the chip could have froze (the red led warning stayed on constantly) i also tried an old trick of disconnecting the earth on the battery & turning the ignition which did help the alarm when i reconnected the battery, but not the remote CL also when arming the panel lights on the dash lit (like it does when you wait for the glow plugs) up with the indicators, it didn't look good.
While all this was happening the voltage appeared to drop in the alarm system to about 3volts.
One minute it looks like a fault in the alarm head, next in the actuator control...?
So, i disconnected the alarm completely..
Now yesterday i appeared to have a flat battery & i couldn't start the vehicle, lucky i can walk to work..
Today i planned jump starting the vehicle, however the battery has a new lease of life, but on turn over all i get is a fast clicking & a whoooah/ whoosh noise.
When i let go of the ignition it caries on clicking till i turn off.
So, thinking there could be a short somewhere due to some odd readings on the alarm voltage & the weird starting thing, i have disconnected the live terminal on the battery in the paranoia it don't start a fire!!

Any ideas?
