O2 sensor (lambda)

Post by manners » Sat Aug 16, 2008 7:21 pm

Does anybody know if there is a universal sensor that will fit the V6 my99. All of the uk sites i have found only list two wire sensors with a black and a white wire, mine is a blue and a white wire?

Hi there,

I had mine changed. From memory they are a standard size and it's a 2 wire model. Look to pay around £30 for a reasonable one. If you change yourself be careful when removing that you don't strip the threads and only use the grease supplied on the threads of the new one, standard grease etc can contaminate and damage the sensor.

Google it and there is a specialist website that tells you all you need to know.

Hi,

Blue and white from memory but I'll take a look tomorrow, don't think colour is important on a 2 wire sensor though.
