Hi wes 68, the horn is sort of behind the offside headlight and yes you can replace the ball joint only but you need a press. They can be found on eBay I think.

Hi Wes 68, mine failed it's MOT recently with the same ball joint. I found it difficult to find someone to supply the ball joint alone. In the end I went for the easier but more expensive option and bought the full monty. Bell Hill Garage £153 then add postage on top £193. :(

Hi Wes,there are two horns roughly behind head lights.
Near side high tone, off side low tone.
Have you checked the fuse.

There is normally only one standard "beep beep" type, below the offside headlight, the second must be an option on some models.
So don't worry if you can't find two.

Hi Wes,glad to see you got your ball joint.
If you have time stick it in the freezer for a day before you fit it.
You will find it goes into the wish-bone easier.

Cheers Mal...

If the horn relay is clicking test the horn conections with a 12v bulb, if that works just fit a replacement horn (from a scrappie?) to the 2 wires and bolt in place.

And welcome aboard. :D
Take a torch, toilet roll, and tea bags.

Or fit some of these electric air horns - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/AIR-HORN-SET-2-TO ... .m14.l1318 - they fit in the space behind the headlight & are much beter than the originals 8)
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.
