Am gonna sue those weather forecasters.. if it don't blow at Brid in the morning, may venture to Clee..

I need to get wet or I'll go mental

ok then i've got the buggy and am chuffed with it. only prob my 3.5 bullet just keeps pulling me out over the top ( to much lift no good on edge of window) so i need a new kite looking at the beamer 5m or the new peter lynn hornet 5m,

just wondering if anyone knows anything about these kites???

keep the bullet, theres hardly any lift to them. keep it low to the ground in the window and it will pull. shouldnt need to take it to the top unless to do a stop.
if you want lift then try buggying with a blade. i was out on saturday and got lifted clean out of the bug and dumped next to it watching the buggy roll off.
if you go for a bigger kite then you stand a bigger chance of been lifted higher, just depends on the wind.
try controlling the kite low to the ground and you can use the brakes to slow the kite down or to land it if in problems. when turning turn upwind to shave off some speed then turn your kite to fly the other way as you turn the buggy.

I wont try to add advice to that given by Dreamwarrior as Mikes obviously a lot more experienced than me. But your definitely going to want more kites  and if like me you are on a budget, then the beamers are great.
My 11 year old and me were using 1.4 and 3m beamers on saturday (wind 20-25mph). Mananged 20mph and 33mph respectively.
I had a feeling the winds would be good as I had just bought the 6m Hornet but havent got it out yet.
Hopefully will get chance next weekend - will let you know how it goes.

its just a matter of practice and expect to get dragged out of the buggy. as long as your wearing a helmet you shouldnt fair too badly. most people have a quiver of kites to use dependant on the wind. personally i just have 4
super 10 covers winds 30 to 50mph and can still buggy
2.5 bullet covers 20 to 30
4m blade 3 stays in most of the time. anyone who knows these will understand but flys from 10 to 25
6m rage will fly from 2mph up to 20 (with aaa kit)

realistically i want rid of the 2.5 and get a 3.5 blurr.
and get another traction kite around the 4 m range
need something bigger than the 6m for when its not windy.
but thats in an ideal life where money and her indoors dont matter.

i see that you fly two kites very near the same size although the beamer isnt as frantic as the bullet imho.
not seen many reviews for the hornet but it looks stable for beginners. likewise with the beamer.
or if your bored with the bullet give it to me and get a quiver of beamers. only joking.

I went out yesterday and found the bullet a bit better. My beamer needs new lines for some reason since the last outing the left line has grown :? :? ,

I'm not board of the bullet but feel i need a larger kite for lower winds.

A 4m kite would be enough but as i've got two 3.5 ish kites I think a 5m would give me more options with wnds etc...

As for giving you the bullet [-X

The hornet is looking fav at the mo...

You don't need new lines, you need to cut them all to length and re-sleeve or braid them.

it depends how much they have stretched, you might be able to retrim the lines just by tying a new knot on the kite bridle. i did this with my blade as one of the lines was slightly out and its given it a new lease of life. usually the lower price bracket kites end up with lower quality lines on them so some adjustment is usually necessary. i would agree that you need a bigger kite for low winds. 5m or a 6m size should go well with the 3.5m (you wouldnt notice a great deal of difference if you went for a 4m) covering you for a few windranges. you could look out for something like a 4.5 bullet or 4.7 rage.

Went out for a fly this afternoon and put my brothers line onto the beamer and it flys great now.

Going to go for new lines for the beamer as the lines that camewith it are all white so its amare if i have a tangle,

Thanks for the advice on cutting them.

Going for the 5m Hornet just have to wait for funds oh and some dry weather would be good to. [-o< [-o<
