Testers WANTED

Anybody interested in fitting and testing/reporting on this below?
You MUST have a Coolant Loss Alarm Fitted.
I have made 4 prototypes.
I have one fitted.
Rooster is getting one.
That leaves the first 2 to contact me.
Takes about 15 mins to fit and is so easy it isn't true (yes it is)
10mm spanner and a philips screwdriver.
It would be good if one of the testers tends to give the Bongo a bit of a thrash now and again and if poss have a TM2 fitted.

Low Coolant Alarm
ADD ON KIT

By putting this kit into your low coolant alarm circuit you will have a “extra” bit of protection against overheating.
If !! when this is fitted your alarm sounds.. you will have either lost coolant or exceeded 110oC at the cylinder head.
If this happens you must stop AT ONCE and investigate the cause.

TO FIT
Simply fit the thermal switch under a rocker cover bolt ( I have used the 2nd from the front under the passenger seat)
Connect the female spade connectors to the thermal switch.
Run the wires carefully to your coolant alarm module (away from the engine and protecting them against “trapping”)
Unplug the bullet connector (in the sensor wire) at the module and plug in the thermal switch wires (one male & one female)
NOTE:- the switch resets when the temp drops to 90oC

Thats the 2 x testers sorted.
I can if someone is really keen knock up one more. (must have coolant alarm and tm2 fitted)

Sounds great! In true MajorBN tradition I am dragging my heels with all this coolant alarm stuff, so...should I be waiting longer to buy and fit my alarm as they will come standard with the "extra add-on bit" in future? [-o<

NO !! don't wait you may need the coolant loss bit tomorrow. This "add on" if it goes into production will be available to all at a very resonable price. I would guess around £15. It will be the same if included in a kit.

I'm doing a trip to Germany and back next week so I can test one on a journey with plenty of motorway cruising and a few hills if you like.

Not sure if I have a TM2 though - just the coolant alarm I bought at Stourport?????

Scanner...I would really like someone with a TM2 fitted so they would be able to tell at what Temp the switch "alarms" at. Supposed to be 110oC +/- 3 degrees.

Ahh wasn't sure whether I had a TM2 or not - obviously not. Just the low coolant one and a Mason. Presumably if I had a TM2, I wouldn't really need the Mason one.
