Hi Guys,
thanks for the replies.
In order of responses,
Sparkymik; it makes sense as the pipe goes to the brass coloured widget that links to the throttle. As for location, I have Bedford dislayed on my pc under my user name, date of joining etc. on the LHS of the screen. Is it visible on your browser?
Daveblueozzie; the rubber pipe has a insert in it which looks as if it has come off the black unit which is under the white plastic connector in the photo. I thought that the insert was hollow but will take a closer look when it stops raining.
Keefysher; I'll have a look at the thread you suggested. It does not appear to have changed the driving characteristics of the bongo but I do not know how long it has been broken and have not done any heavy driving recently. The cruise control problem was down to the wires between the "brain" and the servo working lose - the plastic connectors were firm but the wires going to the connectors were not firmly attached.
Cheers,
M
