Noisy sterring wheel
I noticed today that my steering wheel is rather noisy - it seems to be making a noise rather like that of a squeeky windscreen wiper when turned.
Any takers?

Re: Noisy sterring wheel
Just a thought is it definitely coming from the cowling or could it be further down the steering columb:?: I always look for worst case senario then chuffed when it turns out easy fix

Re: Noisy sterring wheel
Is the power steering fluid level full?

Re: Noisy sterring wheel
After the school run I will attempt to check the cowl, see if anything else is obvious and try and get to the power sterring fluid - I haven't tried to access under the driver seat since the conversion
If it is the power steering fluid - where do I get this from?

Yep, the reservoir is under the drivers seat cat, if it does need topping up you'll need some hydraulic fluid/power steering fluid/auto gearbox fluid. I think its available in places such as morrison's/tesco etc nowadays... Just check the section where you'll find the engine oil for sale.

Re: Noisy sterring wheel
It could simply be a bit of debris caught between the wheel and the cowling, or the cowling may have "jumped" one of its "jaws"... But if you haven't checked the level of the fluid for a while, then you may as well have a gander...
